If you’re a fan of Japanese horror or love a good puzzle-packed fright fest, this one’s for you. Another World Series -Slit Mouth Woman VS AOONI- has officially launched on Steam today, bringing together two iconic horror figures in one nightmare-fueled crossover.

What is This Game?

You play as Akashi Asanagi, a university student who wakes up trapped on the 10th floor of an abandoned hospital. Things get weird fast. After a run-in with the creepy blue-skinned Ao Oni and a mysterious mask, Akashi finds himself in a warped alley face-to-face with the infamous Slit Mouth Woman. Before long, the two monsters are fighting each other, and you’re caught in the middle.

From there, the game takes you across haunted schools, cemeteries, and cursed houses, challenging you to solve puzzles, survive deadly encounters, and piece together the truth behind this twisted world.

Puzzle Horror with a Choice-Driven Story

Expect first-person puzzle-solving, tense chases, and a few jump scares as you navigate ten eerie stages. Your decisions shape how the story ends — so whether you get out alive or suffer a brutal fate depends entirely on how you play.

The whole experience is fully voiced, and each level introduces new characters and environments inspired by Japanese ghost stories and horror lore. It’s a spiritual successor to Ao Oni, the cult classic that exploded on YouTube and Niconico back in the 2000s.
