A few hours ago, the Atlus official Japanese YouTube channel posted a trailer, revealing the mysterious ‘Project Persona 5 S’ true nature. The game has been revealed to be a ‘Musou fighter’; a game in the style of Dynasty Warriors, but different characters and setting.

Called Persona 5: Scramble, the game’s trailer showcased Joker fighting waves of police enemies in Mementos. At the end of the trailer, the title was revealed to be coming to both the PlayStation 4 and the Switch sometime in the future.

But trailer is receiving mixed reaction from fans – some people seem disappointed that this is not the Switch port of Persona 5 many thought the title would be. “How are people even supposed to be excited about a spinoff when they can’t even play the original game,” asked one commenter. Another pointed out this will be the fourth Mousu fighter on the Switch to date – joining Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate, Hyrule Warriors, Fire Emblem Warriors, and One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3 Deluxe. Time will tell if Persona 5: Scramble will stand out from the crowd. The trailer is embedded below for your convenience.
