Marvel Rivals Season 7: The Hunt Is On is nearly here, and it is bringing White Fox into the fight. Launching on 20 March, the new season also packs in a new map, quality-of-life updates, extra rewards, and a few smaller additions that should keep players busy.

As per the press release, White Fox joins the roster as a Strategist, while Lower Manhattan arrives later as a new convergence map in an update on 2 April. There is also a new Album System, more accessories, and a free April Pool’s emote featuring Deadpool and Jeff. Not a bad haul, really.

White Fox joins Marvel Rivals as a new Strategist

The big headline for Marvel Rivals Season 7 is the arrival of White Fox, who joins the growing roster in the Strategist role.

According to the press release, White Fox uses the power of her Kumiho bloodline alongside fast martial arts, giving her a flexible combat style that can shift with the flow of battle. She can use Yeowoo Guseul, or fox marbles, to heal allies and damage enemies, while also absorbing and storing Kumiho energy before spending it to buff teammates and charm opponents.

So yes, she sounds like the sort of support pick who can be helpful one moment and deeply annoying the next.

Lower Manhattan, photo albums and a free April Pool’s emote

Season 7 is not stopping at a new hero. Lower Manhattan is also joining the game as a new convergence map, landing with the 2 April update.

There are a few extra features on the way too. A new Album System will let players permanently save their Times Square photos and come back to them later. Better yet, those shots can also be shared with other players, who can leave likes and interactions on them. It is a neat little social feature, and one that feels very on-brand for Marvel Rivals’ louder, flashier energy.

Then there is the April Pool’s event. From 1 April (UTC) to 3 April (UTC), players can log in to claim the Jeff Rodeo duo emote for free, featuring Deadpool and Jeff. Using it with friends in Times Square can also earn Units and title rewards, which is a decent excuse to be a bit daft in public.

New accessories and updated student rewards

Alongside the bigger additions, the update also brings a fresh batch of accessories for White Fox, Iron Fist, Hawkeye, Mister Fantastic, Ultron, Adam Warlock, Peni Parker, Venom, Hulk, and Elsa Bloodstone.

On top of that, verified college students will get access to a new rotation of 10 costumes and MVPs once they verify using their education email. That perk is sticking around as part of the game’s exclusive student benefits.

As per the press release, players can also keep an eye on the latest Game Update for the full patch notes and Hero Balance changes.

All told, Marvel Rivals Season 7 looks like a fairly packed update. White Fox is the star of the show, but there is enough extra stuff here to make the season feel like more than just a one-character drop.
