Arc Games and Chief Rebel are throwing the dungeon doors wide open – Fellowship, the first-ever multiplayer online dungeon adventure (or “MODA” if you fancy a shiny new acronym), is now in Open Beta on Steam until 23 September. And yes, this is the same Fellowship demo that stormed Steam Next Fest back in February, landing in the Top 5 most-played demos. Not too shabby.

The full Early Access launch hits Steam on 16 October with a price tag of £20.99, but for now, you can hop in and dungeon-dive for free.

What’s New in the Fellowship Open Beta

This isn’t just a rehash of the demo. The Open Beta comes packed with:

  • Seven heroes to pick from (two Tanks, three DPS – including shiny new hero Mara – and two Healers).
  • New dungeon: Urrak Markets, ready to chew you up and spit you out.
  • Fresh gameplay systems, including matchmaking, group finding, and a progression loop stuffed with Weapons, Gems, Talents, Crafting and Legendary gear.
  • Customisation options, because even dungeon crawlers want to look good.
  • Mounts, new loot, and visual upgrades based on community feedback from Next Fest.

The Open Beta runs with servers in North America, Europe, and Asia, so wherever you’re playing from, you’ve got a shot at glory (or at least some decent loot).

Fellowship: Dungeons First, Grind Later (Or Never)

Fellowship isn’t just another MMO or MOBA wannabe. Chief Rebel – a new studio stacked with veterans from World of Warcraft, Diablo IV, Helldivers 2, Just Cause, Battlefield, and more – has built a game where the focus is all dungeons, all the time.

No hours of boring grind, no quest clutter. Just grab three mates, pick your roles, and get straight into the good stuff: battling bosses, chasing loot, and flexing your build. Want a quick 15-minute run? Done. Fancy testing your mettle in Ranked dungeons with modifiers, curses, and endless scaling chaos? Also done.

As CEO and Game Director Axel Lindberg puts it: “We knew we had to get an Open Beta going after Steam Next Fest blew us away. This is the last big milestone before Early Access, and we can’t wait to see what players think.”

Chief Rebel’s been cooking Fellowship since 2018, and with Open Beta now live, it’s the perfect time to see why they’re calling this the world’s first MODA. Dive in, grab some loot, and maybe drag your friends along for a wipe or two.
