The simulated MMORPG that thinks it’s an MMO (but isn’t) is levelling up again. Erenshor, the single-player MMO-like from Burgee Media, is dropping its chunky v0.3 update—Rising Shadows—on February 2nd, and it’s the game’s most ambitious patch yet.
Expect guilds, a new class called the Reaver, a build-your-own hub called the Reliquary, plus stacks of quality-of-life tweaks the devs swear they didn’t just dream up in the bath.
Guild Up, Even Solo
Yep, you can now create and join guilds—even though Erenshor is still technically a single-player game. It’s all part of that “simulated MMO” vibe, letting you experience the joy of group identity and progression without having to herd actual humans into Discord.
Meet the Reaver: Edge-Lord Energy, Activated
The new class, Reaver, is all about taking hits and hitting back harder. It introduces a stance system that lets you swap roles between tank, DPS, and utility on the fly. Oh, and it powers itself by hurting itself. Dark magic? Check. HP-for-Mana spells? Absolutely. Fear-based crowd control? You bet. It’s like someone dared the devs to make the edgiest knight possible, and they said, “Hold my void.”
Your New Base: The Reliquary
No update is complete without some personal space to decorate, right? The Reliquary is a full-on player base—customisable, functional, and actually useful. You’ll be placing shrines, statues, buffs, and maybe a few tasteful rugs. But this isn’t just for show:
- Store portal runes for fast travel
- Jump to your Reliquary and back mid-adventure
- Set up your own shops, banks, and auction houses
- Invite your whole guild or a few mates over
- It’s account-wide, so your alts get access too
- Basically, it’s your own slice of MMO real estate—no rent required.
SimPlayers Get Chatty
NPCs pretending to be real players just got smarter. SimPlayers now respond to your questions about item locations, NPCs, and general guidance. It’s like having a wiki that talks back.
Game Masters Are Watching
Yes, GMs are coming to Erenshor. Not players, mind you—simulated ones. They’ll message you in-game, ask you to play nice, and if you act up, you might find yourself locked in digital jail. Adds a nice dash of MMO drama to the mix.
QoL All Over the Place
Beyond the headline stuff, Rising Shadows brings a ton of smaller quality-of-life fixes. From smoother UI to better navigation and system polish, it’s all part of the devs’ plan to keep Erenshor evolving in Early Access.
Rising Shadows hits February 2nd. Patch trailer’s out now if you want the full lowdown. Just… try not to set yourself on fire while playing the Reaver.
