Can’t wait for Digimon Story: Time Stranger? Good news—you can play it today. A free demo is now live on consoles and PC, letting you dive into the opening hours of the game and even carry some progress over to launch.

The demo is split into two parts. First, you’ll play through the prologue, stepping into the shoes of an ADAMAS agent investigating strange disturbances in Shinjuku. Any progress you make here will carry over into the full game when it releases in October.

Once you’ve cleared the prologue, you’ll unlock a second demo section via the main menu. This lets you skip ahead and jump straight into Iliad, the Digital World where Digimon live. Here you’ll be able to explore, take on a mission, and complete a quest. Just note—only your progress in the first section will transfer to the full release.

Designed as a fresh entry point for newcomers and RPG fans alike, Digimon Story: Time Stranger blends the real and Digital Worlds, focusing on the bonds you build with your Digimon partners. Work together, evolve their abilities, and uncover the mysteries threatening both worlds.

The full game launches October 3rd on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam.
