Time to jam, apparently.
As per the press release, Devil Jam is heading to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch on 26 March 2026, bringing its hell-forged action roguelite chaos to consoles at last.
The setup is gloriously loud. You play as a doomed musician who signs a cursed contract with the Devil and gets dragged into the underworld for the gig of their afterlife. Sadly, this is not the sort of set you can leave early.
Armed with possessed instruments and a soul packed with riffs, players must survive endless waves of deranged fans, vicious mobs and hellish rivals. Nice crowd. Awful venue.
A roguelite built around riffs, combat and chaos
Every run in Devil Jam is framed as a fresh jam session, with new challenges and plenty of room to experiment. The big hook here is a 12-slot inventory system, which the press release says opens the door to near-infinite build variety.
That means you are not just button-mashing your way through the underworld. You are building loadouts, crafting combos and figuring out how to survive an infernal performance that refuses to end.
The game also leans hard into beat-driven combat, with players harnessing the power of metal as they fight their way towards one very casual end goal: defeating Death himself and becoming the greatest metal icon around.
Hand-drawn hell and bosses with proper presence
The press release also points to fully hand-animated characters and effects, which should give Devil Jam a bold, loud look to match the premise.
On top of that, there are towering bosses to take down, including Death. Because if you are going to make a game about demonic contracts, possessed instruments and endless combat in the underworld, you may as well go all in.
Fast encounters, sharp decision-making and smart loadout choices seem to be the name of the game here. So yes, running for the hills may still be advisable. It just sounds a lot more metal this time.
