Relic Entertainment has just dropped some seriously exciting news for RTS fans: Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War – Definitive Edition is officially coming to PC later this year.

This isn’t some half-baked remaster either. It’s the full, classic Dawn of War experience we remember, souped-up to run beautifully on modern rigs. Think sharper visuals, 4K support, reworked lighting, and a much nicer camera setup. It’s still the same brutal, grimdark strategy game we all fell in love with.

The Definitive Edition bundles everything together: all four classic campaigns, nine armies, and over 200 maps. It’s a proper celebration of what made Dawn of War a genre-defining title in the first place. There’s also full support for 64-bit systems, meaning it’ll play nice with 20 years’ worth of community mods.

Relic’s CEO, Justin Dowdeswell, says this edition is all about honouring the legacy of the original while making sure new players get to see where it all began. And let’s be honest, with Warhammer 40k hotter than ever, the timing couldn’t be better.

Dawn of War – Definitive Edition hit’s PC later this year via Steam and GOG. Time to gear up, commander. Cleanse, purge, and kill.
