Just when you thought mechs couldn’t get any more unhinged, Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion is here to remind you that being a stylishly doomed cyber-soldier is still very much in vogue. With two juicy new gameplay videos dropping today, Marvelous Europe is giving fans a fresh look at its upcoming dark sci-fi sequel—and it’s all about body horror, big metal suits, and moral dilemmas.

Forget the Gym—Just Fuse with the Enemy

In the newly revealed Fusion system, you’ll steal “Immortal Factors” from fallen enemies and jam them straight into your body to gain game-changing powers. These upgrades fall into categories like Might, Shell, and Skeleton (yes, Skeleton), and the more you fuse, the more powerful—and less human—you become.

Sure, you could pay a fee to regain your humanity… but that means ditching your cool mutant limbs and all those sweet combat perks. The game’s basically asking, “Do you want to win, or do you want to stay pretty?” We know our answer.

Deploy the Mech with the Most Metal

If bio-hacking isn’t enough, how about stomping your enemies flat in a fully customizable Heavy Armor suit? Unlike the standard Arsenals, these hulking units show up when your call gauge is full and let you go full tank-mode, complete with devastating attacks and serious crowd control. Tactical nukes not included, but strongly implied.

First European Hands-On at gamescom

And if you’re heading to gamescom 2025 (August 20–24), you’ll be among the first in Europe to play Titanic Scion yourself. Marvelous Europe will have a hands-on demo waiting at Booth A-051 in Hall 7. Time to test whether you’re more Reclaimer or rapidly-mutating husk.

Launching September 5 for Nintendo Switch 2, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion is shaping up to be a mechanically meaty sequel with just enough body horror to keep things spicy.

Will you embrace power—or what’s left of your humanity?
