NHN has announced the global launch of Abyssdia, a collection RPG developed by Ring Games, rolling out across North America and other global markets on 25 February 2026. As per the press release, this one drops you into a stylised, high-stakes mission to restore a world being eaten alive by a mysterious dark void.
And yes, there are launch freebies. A lot of them.
What is Abyssdia?
Abyssdia is set around the Abyss Fissure, a phenomenon that’s contaminated the world with distorted energy. You play as a Tuner, one of the only people who can recalibrate the world’s unstable “frequencies”.
Your job is to lead a squad of elite warriors called Vanguards, restore balance, and hopefully stop everything from sliding further into the void.
Chained Action Combat is all about combos and elemental synergies
Combat in Abyssdia is built around Chained Action Combat, a 4-player real-time system focused on:
- Elemental synergies
- Seamless skill combinations
- Pairing Vanguards strategically based on weapon styles and hidden skill triggers
In short: if you like building teams that click, this is very much that kind of RPG.
It’s not just fights: Abyssdia leans hard into character stories
NHN is also pushing the game’s emotional side. Each Vanguard comes with a personal narrative, supported by cinematic cutscenes and character-specific musical themes.
One of the more unusual systems here is Let’s Eat Together, described as a high-fidelity interactive mode where you bond with Vanguards over their favourite meals. It’s positioned as a replacement for traditional stat-grinding, focusing instead on character interactions, evolving emotions, and expressions.
So yes, you can apparently power up your team by having dinner with them. We’ve seen worse ideas.

To celebrate the global debut, NHN says all players who log in during the launch period will receive:

- 10,000 Manarings
