Today, Kakao Games can officially reveal the first major update for its free-to-play, open-world MMORPG Odin: Valhalla Rising. Following its initial 2021 launch in Korea and its global launch last month, Odin: Valhalla Rising has been downloaded over 20 million times.

This update introduces multiple new mechanics, including the Guild Dungeon, Guild Raid, and Guild Raid systems, to enhance the co-op experience further for guild members.

The update challenges players to take on a new boss dungeon featuring 10 difficulty stages that must be cleared sequentially. The higher the stage is, the greater the rewards are. This dungeon is available to members of guilds level 4 and above. Those brave enough to take on the challenge can also earn individual rewards like loot boxes and guild coins.

Items obtained from defeating guild bosses through raids will be listed in a guild-exclusive auction for members to bid on, with the proceeds distributed among members through bidding.

A new Raid Party system has been added, allowing multiple guild members to form large parties to tackle the guild dungeon together. The latest update adds a guild alliance chat, improving coordination during large-scale PvP and raid events.

Odin: Valhalla Rising’s Key Features:

  • Experience battles on a huge scale and a wealth of game modes as one of four class types – Warrior, Sorceress, Priest, and Rogue.
  • Explore a vast, open world inspired by Norse mythology. On mobile or PC, you can explore uninterrupted without loading screens outside of instanced dungeons.
  • Go it alone or join a guild, with an enhanced PvP through the new Raid Party system.

A login reward event is also underway, offering players a Divine Avatar x11 Summoning Ticket and other valuable items just for logging in. The official roadmap provides more details about exciting updates, including new dungeons and summer-themed cosmetics, that are set to come in the next few weeks.

Odin: Valhalla Rising is available for free on PC and mobile with crossplay support. The game is playable in English, Spanish, Thai, Chinese (Simplified), Chinese (Traditional), and Japanese.
