In an astounding display of “wait and see” attitude, Overwatch today announced that fan favourite Cowboy Jesse McCree will be renamed. If you’ve been living peacefully without knowledge of this world full of nightmares, McCree has been the subject of debate among fans ever since it the lawsuits began flowing thick and fast at Activison Blizzard and developer Jesse McCree was named among those who partook in the “Frat Boy” culture at the company. This includes his name showing up in alleged screenshots of a truly disgusting group chat and also alleging his involvement in the now infamous “Bill Cosby Suite” photo.
Fans of the team shooter have been up in arms lately insisting that this creatures name be stricken from the game they love and after apparently waiting a bit for the tension to die down, Overwatch finally came out with a statement…
