Earlier today, the Sonic official Twitter announced a new, two-part animated short, revolving around the upcoming Team Sonic Racing title. The announcement also included the first part of the short – Dangerous Distraction – which is embedded below.

The short is the latest collaboration between Sega and Neko Studios, who were responsible for creating the previous, Sonic Mania based shorts. This first part runs around 5 minutes long, and features antics during a vehicle race, with a focus on a fan ‘favourite’ character. Team Sonic Racing will release in May of this year, for the PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Switch.
