The cats are back! An announcement of the sequel to the indie hit dating sim, Nekojishi, came earlier today, boasting an unexpected departure from the VN format for…a 3D building sim?!
Studio Klondike announced the title via a trailer, linked through their official Twitter. The trailer explains that in this game, Liao and his three spirit friends, Lin-Hu, Likulau, and Yan Shu-Chi, open up an architecture and design business with the goal of renovating haunted locations and solving the woes of spirits within. The game will also feature combat, but it’s currently unknown if any of the dating mechanics will return.
The title is due to release next year for the PC, and Nintendo Switch. It is uncertain if any plans to port the original title to the Switch are in the works. The original title explored LGBT+ issues and Taiwanese culture, and is currently available for free on Steam.
