If you’re anything like us then you’ve been at work during the day then you’re at home with the better half afterwards, so you’ve missed a lot of the Gamescom news. Well don’t you worry as Jav and Mikey (stars of the PS Pod) have got you covered, with their own personal hype levels.
CD Projekt Red have released a new trailer which came out for the stadia and showed more gameplay ….
As if my hype wasn’t high enough it bloody is now! I love Sci fi and rpgs so this is so far up my alley it hurts. To me there’s no way this can fail. CDPR are going to be doing a 15 minute gameplay demo next Friday so I’ll certainly be tuning into that
Although I’m Sony man I will tell you what Xbox have said about their new console….. It will have a solid state drive and will be 4 times more powerful than the One X. Apparently visuals, smooth running and quick loading are their focus, and here’s an excerpt –
“I think the area that we really want to focus on next generation is frame rate and playability of the games,” Spencer said. “Ensuring that the games load incredibly fast, ensuring that the game is running at the highest frame rate possible. We’re also the Windows company, so we see the work that goes on [for] PC and the work that developers are doing. People love 60 frames-per-second games, so getting games to run at 4K 60 [FPS] I think will be a real design goal for us.
“The thing that’s interesting is, this generation, we’ve really focused on 4K visuals and how we bring both movies through 4K Blu-ray and video streaming, and with Xbox One X allowing games to run at 4K visuals will make really strong visual enhancements next generation. But playability is probably the bigger focus for us this generation. How fast do [games] load? Do I feel like I can get into the game as fast as possible and while it’s playing? How does it feel? Does this game both look and feel like no other game that I’ve seen? That’s our target.”
hype ain’t really applicable here.
Kingdom under fire 2
A new trailer was revealed that you can see here :
I’m not the right person to ask about these types of games because it’s not what I play but it’s a rts mmorpg which looks like it turns into dynasty warriors for big battles. Point n click your way through for the highest dp.
I was actually really excited to see some footage but unfortunately it didn’t blow me away. What I was expecting to be a pirate dark souls certainly isn’t that. To me the combat looks clunky, I wasn’t expecting to be able to pause mid-fight and change to magic or whatever…. I’m hoping to be sold more on this closer to release. Here’s a new trailer they released.
Ok so I have played surge a bit and its on my playlist to carry on but looking at this new footage it seems to carry the old ‘if it ain’t broke don’t fix it’ ideology…. No doubt this looks cool and if you’re a fan of the first you’ll. Be a fan of this.
Empire of sin
I knew nothing about this game but I’m a big fan of anything with the mafia or mobsters in it. What looks to be a cross between rts and city building but with gangsters…. Colour me intrigued.
An action RPG where you’re a vampire should be amazing but this just doesn’t look mind blowing. You walk around taking to people, sneaking and occasionally suckling people’s blood, being much too cautious for a vamp in my opinion. The first one did have a pretty good reception though so this could just be the game play they showed…
As if I didn’t need any more reasons to get a switch my favourite ever Zelda game get a remaster…. This game looks cute and extremely well polished and when I eventually buy a switch this’ll be a day one purchase.
