Serenity Forge and developer Arbitrary Metric have launched two very different horror experiences, with Roman Sands RE:Build and Paratopic: Overdub both available now.
Roman Sands RE:Build has launched across PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation and Xbox, while Paratopic: Overdub brings Arbitrary Metric’s award-winning 2018 horror adventure back to PC with new and remastered content.
Both releases also arrive alongside Serenity Forge’s annual publisher sale, which is offering discounts across its catalogue for two weeks.
Welcome to Roman Sands RE:Build
Roman Sands RE:Build is a surreal adventure that mixes resort management, visual novel elements, puzzles and horror across two connected stories.
One side of the game takes place at a colourful luxury resort where players are tasked with keeping a demanding group of guests happy. Completing requests against the clock allows you to rank up and unlock new equipment through gacha machines hidden away in the basement.
Things take a darker turn in the second setting, a decaying zoological research station caught in a time loop.
With a parasite spreading throughout the facility, players must decide whether to protect the research left behind or focus on their own survival. Your main source of company is a mysterious voice over the radio, performed by streamer and content creator STPeach.
As the story progresses, the boundaries between the seemingly relaxing resort and the research facility begin to break down.
Paratopic Returns With Overdub
Launching alongside Roman Sands RE:Build is Paratopic: Overdub, a new PC version of Arbitrary Metric’s 2018 horror adventure.
Rather than being a straightforward remaster, Overdub is described as a mixture of remaster, remix and sequel.
It features improved textures and animations alongside new characters, additional secrets and fresh content to discover, while retaining the strange, unsettling atmosphere of the original release.
Serenity Forge Publisher Sale Is Also Live
The two launches coincide with Serenity Forge’s annual publisher sale.
Running for two weeks, the promotion features discounts of up to 90% across the publisher’s catalogue on Steam, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation and Xbox.
