Eclipse Glow Games has dropped a new Tides of Annihilation trailer at Gamescom 2026 Opening Night Live, introducing Guinevere, Sir Lancelot and the new voice of Gwendolyn.
Titled Beneath the Veil, the cinematic gameplay trailer dives deeper into Gwendolyn’s story following the catastrophic destruction of London.
It also gives us another look at one of the game’s rather useful tricks: summoning spectral Knights of the Round Table to absolutely ruin somebody’s day.
Tides of Annihilation introduces Guinevere and Sir Lancelot
The trailer finds Gwendolyn struggling to come to terms with her new reality among the ruins of London.
However, the legendary Guinevere encourages her to embrace the mysterious power of the Fog. It is an ability previously wielded by King Arthur, which Gwendolyn has somehow inherited.
That power could be the key to saving both London and the otherworldly realm of Avalon from complete annihilation.
No pressure, then.
Gwendolyn eventually takes up her sword and begins fighting alongside powerful spectral knights. The new trailer introduces Sir Lancelot, who can be summoned into battle to help dispatch enemies in suitably flashy fashion.
As per the press release, Gwendolyn’s journey will see her facing otherworldly demigods while commanding members of the Knights of the Round Table.
The trailer also confirms Angela Sant’Albano as the new voice of Gwendolyn.
Sant’Albano described the character as a heroine who struggles with self-doubt but refuses to let fear stop her. She also highlighted Gwendolyn’s love for her sister and homeland as central motivations throughout the story.
Tides of Annihilation expands its language support
Eclipse Glow Games has also confirmed Brazilian Portuguese support for Tides of Annihilation.
That brings the game’s supported languages to 11: English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Korean, Russian and Brazilian Portuguese.
Gamescom attendees can also get their hands on the game’s first global playable demo at Hall 6, Booth B-050.
The demo will run on hardware including GeForce RTX 5080 GPUs, with players getting an early look at Tides of Annihilation with NVIDIA DLSS 4.5 Dynamic Multi Frame Generation support. Hardware is also being provided by TCL, Razer, PlayStation and Xbox.
Tides of Annihilation is currently in development for PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
There’s no release date in this announcement, but with spectral knights, a ruined London and Sir Lancelot available on demand, Gwendolyn certainly isn’t going into the apocalypse under-equipped.
