Pearl Abyss has unveiled Crimson Desert Enhanced, bringing new cutscenes, additional dialogue and expanded language support to the game.
The Enhanced update was revealed during gamescom Opening Night Live alongside the first all-platform discount for Crimson Desert. Existing owners will get the Enhanced version as a free update, while new players can grab the game for 20% off until 9 September.
Pearl Abyss also revealed that Crimson Desert has picked up two Gamescom Awards 2026 nominations.
Crimson Desert Enhanced adds new cutscenes and languages
A new one-minute trailer showcased some of the changes coming with Crimson Desert Enhanced.
As per the press release, the update adds new cutscenes and dialogue designed to strengthen the game’s narrative flow.
Language support is also getting a sizeable expansion. Five new voiceover languages are being added: French, German, Spanish, Japanese and Brazilian Portuguese.
Arabic subtitles and UI support are joining the game too, giving more players access to the story and its characters in their preferred language.
To celebrate the launch of Crimson Desert Enhanced, Pearl Abyss has also kicked off the game’s first discount across every platform.
Until 9 September, Crimson Desert is 20% off on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, Epic Games Store and Apple Mac.
Anyone who already owns the game won’t need to buy anything again, as Crimson Desert Enhanced will be available as a free update.
Crimson Desert earns two Gamescom Awards nominations
The announcement arrives alongside two Gamescom Awards 2026 nominations for Crimson Desert.
Pearl Abyss’ title is nominated for both Most Epic and Best PC Game.
According to the announcement, Best PC Game recognises polish and player experience on PC, while Most Epic focuses on games that make an impact through grand storytelling and intense gameplay.
Crimson Desert Enhanced will also be playable at gamescom from 26 to 30 August through Pearl Abyss’ partnership with Samsung Electronics.
Attendees can find the demo in Hall 09.1 at Stand B020-C029, where the game will be running on Samsung gaming monitor hardware.
Crimson Desert Enhanced is available across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, Epic Games Store and Apple Mac. The 20% launch discount runs until 9 September, while existing players can jump into the Enhanced update for free.
