Capcom has released a new Monster Hunter Wilds demo, giving curious hunters a chance to explore the Forbidden Lands before buying the full game.
The publisher has also announced new product bundles, a permanent price reduction, and the Monster Hunter Wilds Championship – Global Exhibition, which takes place in September 2026.
Monster Hunter Wilds is available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
Monster Hunter Wilds Demo Lets You Explore the Opening Hours
The new Monster Hunter Wilds demo covers the opening section of the game in Offline Mode.
Players can access the full character creator, test all 14 weapon types, and play through the story up to the beginning of Chapter 1-3, “To the Forest.”
Better still, save data from the demo can transfer directly into the full game on the same platform. So, thankfully, you will not need to recreate that hunter you spent three hours perfecting.
The Monster Hunter Wilds demo is available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
New Monster Hunter Wilds Bundles and Permanent Price Cut
Capcom has also introduced several new Monster Hunter Wilds product options. In addition, the base game now has a permanent reduced MSRP of $39.99.
As per the press release, the new bundles include premium bonuses from the previously available editions.
The new options are:
- Monster Hunter Wilds Gold Edition – MSRP $79.99: Includes the full game and the Monster Hunter Wilds Cosmetic DLC Collection.
- Monster Hunter Wilds Cosmetic DLC Collection – MSRP $59.99: Includes 10 DLC packs, including the Monster Hunter Wilds Extras Cosmetic DLC Pack.
- Monster Hunter Wilds Extras Cosmetic DLC Pack – MSRP $29.99: Includes paid cosmetic DLC previously sold only as separate products.
Capcom is retiring the Deluxe Edition, Premium Deluxe Edition, and Cosmetic DLC Pass bundles.
However, anyone who already owns those products can continue using them. Individual DLC packs and items will also remain available separately.
Monster Hunter Wilds Championship Arrives in September 2026
The Monster Hunter Wilds Championship – Global Exhibition will take place in September 2026.
Following regional tournaments in Japan, the United States, Europe, and Taiwan, the top four hunting duos will compete for themselves and their region.
Hunters hoping to sharpen their skills can now attempt two new Challenge Quests from the Quest Counter. These are “Event: Dreams May Soar” and “Event: Unchained Arkveld.”
Players can also compare their best completion times with those achieved by the Championship teams.
Capcom will reveal the event’s timing and location at a later date.
Meanwhile, Monster Hunter Wilds is now in development for Nintendo Switch 2. Capcom also plans to release the Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance expansion in 2027, with more details coming later.
