The Walking Dead: Streets of Survival will launch on 18 September for PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.
TRAILMARK Games and AMC Global Media confirmed the release date alongside a new pre-order trailer. Pre-orders are open now for both the Standard and Deluxe Editions.
A beat-’em-up set in The Walking Dead universe
The Walking Dead: Streets of Survival is a single-player beat-’em-up built around fast, bloody fights against walkers and human enemies.
Players can use melee combos, ranged attacks and brutal finishers to survive large groups of undead. As per the press release, the game will also feature dangerous gangs of Saviors that force players to keep adapting.
So, essentially, expect plenty of crowd control and very little personal space.
Boss battles will feature familiar enemies from AMC’s The Walking Dead. These include Winslow, the Well Walker, Negan, Simon and the Saviors.
Some encounters will unfold across multiple phases, testing timing, strategy and the ability to avoid becoming walker lunch.
Standard and Deluxe Editions confirmed
The Standard Edition costs £16.99 or €19.99 and includes the base game.
Meanwhile, the Deluxe Edition costs £24.99 or €29.99. It includes the base game and the Arcade Apocalypse Pack, which features:
- Bonus weapon skins
- A premium Rick skin
- The exclusive Endless Survival mode
Endless Survival throws players into a never-ending wave of walkers. The goal is to see how long you can last while chaining combos, weapon attacks and finishers.
Anyone who pre-orders either edition will also receive the Golden Survival Pack at launch. This bonus includes seven golden weapon skins.
Built for repeat runs
The Walking Dead: Streets of Survival includes several playable characters, each with their own moveset and skill tree.
Players can level up abilities, experiment with different approaches and tackle multiple difficulty settings. An optional Easy Mode will also be available for those after a more relaxed apocalypse.
