STRANGER THAN HEAVEN is getting the full spotlight next month. SEGA and Microsoft have announced a standalone broadcast for the new game from Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio.
As per the press release, Xbox Presents: A Special Look at STRANGER THAN HEAVEN airs on 7 May 2026 at 12am BST.
The announcement followed the game’s reveal in the latest Xbox Partner Preview. A new trailer debuted there too, showing fresh gameplay and teasing a story packed with brutal violence.
It also confirmed one of the game’s biggest hooks. STRANGER THAN HEAVEN will take players across five cities and five eras of Japan. So yes, it is aiming big.

A bigger look at STRANGER THAN HEAVEN is coming
According to the press release, this is the first standalone broadcast of its kind for the game.
That makes the May show a key moment for STRANGER THAN HEAVEN. It should give players a much deeper look at what Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio has been cooking up.
The latest trailer already hints at a huge story. Multiple eras, multiple cities, and a lot of violence give the game a clear sense of scale. It is not exactly being subtle about it either.
STRANGER THAN HEAVEN platforms confirmed
As per the press release, STRANGER THAN HEAVEN is coming to Xbox Game Pass, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, Xbox Cloud, Steam, and PlayStation 5.
It is also an Xbox Play Anywhere title. Players can wishlist it now on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox on PC.
So, if that first trailer caught your eye, the next date to watch is 7 May 2026. That is when STRANGER THAN HEAVEN gets a closer look.
