Voidwrought has now landed in physical form on PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch, with both Standard and Special Editions available at specialist retailers. As per the press release, publisher SelectaPlay, alongside developer Powersnake and digital publisher Kwalee, has brought the cosmic horror Metroidvania to store shelves today.
So yes, if creeping through ruined civilisations and punching gods in the face sounds like a decent weekend, you now have a boxed copy with your name on it.
Voidwrought’s Special Edition comes with a few nice extras
Players can pick up either the standard boxed release or a Special Edition aimed squarely at collectors. The fancier version comes packed in a collector’s box with exclusive artwork and includes a few extra goodies for the shelf.
According to the press release, the Voidwrought Special Edition includes a full boxed copy of the game, a CD soundtrack, three character magnets, one embroidered patch, and one metallic pin.
Both editions are available now through specialist stores and selected online retailers, while stock lasts. In other words, maybe do not leave it until next month and then act shocked.

A hand-drawn Metroidvania with cosmic horror, relics, and boss fights
For anyone new to it, Voidwrought drops players into the decaying remains of the First Civilisation, where the Simulacrum hunts Ichor, the blood of the gods, beneath the ominous glow of the Red Star. It is a pretty cheerful setup, clearly.
The game blends fast-paced combat, precise traversal, and hand-drawn exploration across a world filled with icy tunnels, biomechanical ruins, and stranger places still. As per the press release, players can battle more than 70 enemies and take on 11 bosses while uncovering secrets buried under the star-scorched surface.
There is also plenty of room to shape your build. Voidwrought includes more than 50 Relics and Souls, letting players tweak abilities and passive buffs to suit their preferred approach. Whether that means careful survival or reckless chaos is, of course, between you and the horrors lurking in the dark.
A big part of the loop also centres on expanding your shrine. As it grows, more rewards, abilities, and mysteries start to open up, giving the whole descent a bit more purpose than simply being repeatedly flattened by something ancient and unpleasant.
The press release also highlights New Game+, which comes with three challenge modifiers, as well as a dark soundtrack by Jouni Valjakka to make the whole trip feel even more unsettling.
If you have been waiting for a physical copy, Voidwrought is out now on PS5 and Nintendo Switch in both standard and collector-focused flavours.
