Vindictus is back with another hefty update, and this one is not exactly easing players in gently. NEXON has rolled out Season 4, Episode 14: The Flame of Eternity, adding a new raid, fresh gear, weapon upgrades, and a few extra reasons to keep hacking through its grim fantasy world.
The headline act here is Where Earth Meets Sky, a new raid built around the elemental guardian Uscias. As per the press release, he is the guardian of Caliburn, and he comes armed with fire, ice, lightning, and even time-based attacks. So yes, this sounds like one of those fights where standing still for five seconds is probably a terrible idea.
Uscias leads Vindictus’ new Where Earth Meets Sky raid
The big draw in The Flame of Eternity update is the new Where Earth Meets Sky raid, where players go toe-to-toe with Uscias.
According to the press release, strategy is vital in this encounter thanks to the boss’s elemental attack mix. Fire, ice, lightning, and time all come into play, which should make this more than a simple case of hitting the big monster until it falls over.
Players who clear the raid by 31 March will also receive an Evil Core +1 bonus, which adds a nice little incentive for anyone keen to jump in early and test their luck against the new guardian.

New story chapter, Eriu upgrades and fresh equipment
Beyond the raid itself, Season 4, Episode 14 continues the story with a new chapter. The Flame of Eternity follows a group of heroes who become trapped after meeting a girl in The Salt Desert while searching for the four great treasures of Erin.
On the gear side, the update introduces a new advanced upgrade tier for Eriu Weapons, alongside new equipment including the level 125 Eriu Chest Armor and Starlight Belt. Two new enhancements have also been added, namely Rank 3 Prefix for Chest Armor and Rank 3 Prefix for Belt.
As per the press release, players can also earn materials from the new raid to help with crafting and upgrading, which should make the whole thing feel a bit more worthwhile than just getting flattened by a furious elemental guardian for sport.
Attendance rewards and April Fool’s items arrive on 31 March
There is a little more tucked into the update as well. Starting on 31 March, the long-term Gremlin’s Check-In attendance event will let players collect various rewards through daily log-ins.
That same day also marks the start of this year’s April Fool’s event, which will give players the chance to grab Calia’s toy weapon and a teddy bear backpack. A slightly daft reward set, sure, but that is half the charm of these seasonal bits.
All told, Vindictus: The Flame of Eternity looks like a solid content drop for long-time players. The new Uscias raid is clearly the main event, but the extra story, upgraded Eriu Weapons, and new equipment help round it out into something a bit meatier than a straightforward boss patch.
