Time to warm up your thumbs. Pokémon Champions is set to arrive on Nintendo Switch in April 2026, with a mobile release planned for later in 2026, as per the press release.
If you’ve been craving more straight-up battling energy, this one is pitching itself as a place to do exactly that.
Battle now, pocket battles later
The headline is simple: start battling in April on Switch, then expect mobile devices to join the party later in the year. No exact mobile date yet, but it’s officially on the roadmap.
Pokémon Legends: Z-A linking, Pokémon HOME, and some tasty bonuses
Also coming later in 2026: you’ll be able to connect Pokémon Legends: Z-A to Pokémon HOME.
Once that link is live, you can then link Pokémon Champions to Pokémon HOME, letting you bring Pokémon that appear in both titles into Pokémon Champions to battle alongside you on your quest for the Champion title.
There’s also a rewards hook. Trainers can claim additional items in Pokémon Champions, including:
- Chesnaughtite stone
- Delphoxite stone
- Greninjite stone
How? By transferring the corresponding Pokémon that were originally obtained in Pokémon Legends: Z-A into Pokémon HOME (and then linking up as described in the release).

Pokémon Champions is headed for the big stage
The press release also says Pokémon Champions is expected to appear at the Video Game Championships later in 2026, specifically at the 2026 Pokémon World Championships in San Francisco.
So yes, this one’s being lined up for serious competitive spotlight, not just casual sofa scraps.
