Vampires: Bloodlord Rising has just crossed a bloody big milestone-over 200,000 wishlists on Steam-and with its Early Access release creeping closer, it’s clear the undead hype is very much alive.

Mehuman Games and publisher Toplitz Productions are giving the community a proper fang-filled thank you, unlocking the gates to the cursed land of Sangavia on January 30, 2026, with a 14-day launch discount. The base game will drop at €19.99/$19.99 (or local equivalent), and yes, you can absolutely expect deluxe options for the most decadent of bloodsuckers.

Big numbers, bigger ambitions

As per the press release, Bloodlord Rising’s recent co-op playtest-letting up to four vampires team up for some nocturnal havoc-has gone down a treat. Mehuman Games say community feedback has already helped shape the experience, and they’ll keep sharpening their stake-free gameplay throughout Early Access.

Early Access editions: From stylish to downright lavish

Besides the standard edition, players can opt for:

  • Moonweaver’s Edition: Comes with a fancy outfit for your immortal overlord.
  • Companion Edition: Adds a digital Companion Book to the mix.
  • Ultimate Edition: Bundles all of the above, then throws in the Original Soundtrack and a themed cookbook. Yes, really. Dinner with Dragos, anyone?

What’s Bloodlord Rising?

Set in the grim open world of Sangavia, Vampires: Bloodlord Rising drops you into the cold boots of a freshly awakened vampire lord. You’ll be building your castle, hunting blood, dodging the Inquisition, and crafting your way back to power-either solo or in 4-player co-op. Oh, and you can shapeshift into a bat, because of course you can.

Expect dark RPG vibes, exploration, and the kind of gothic base-building that would make Dracula jealous. Reclaim lost lands, feed your Castle Core with blood, and build your undead empire from the ground up-or at least from the crypt up.

The countdown is on

Early Access begins January 30, and the devs promise a broody, bloody adventure right out the gate. With multiple biomes, secrets to uncover, and a castle to craft into your personal vampiric fortress, it’s nearly time to rise.
