CCP Games has dropped a hefty new update for EVE Online: Legion, shaking up ship balance, opening fresh freelance contracts, and revamping exploration for all you Capsuleers. Oh, and they’ve just announced Operation Nemesis—the first cross-title EVE Universe event linking EVE Online with EVE Vanguard.

Legion Gets Beefed Up

Since its launch in May, the Legion expansion has been under Capsuleer scrutiny, and CCP has been listening. The new update brings:

  • Revitalised ships (even the unloved ones)
  • Stronger armour-focused vessels
  • More wormholes for the explorers among you
  • A major ESS overhaul for small-scale PvP lovers
  • Expanded Freelance jobs, including a new “Destroy Capsuleer” project
  • Quality of life boosts like a free resculpt token and pirate faction tweaks

Basically, the battlefield’s been shaken up and you’ll need to rethink your tactics.

Enter Operation Nemesis

Starting September 16 and running until October 2, 2025, Operation Nemesis links EVE Vanguard’s boots-on-the-ground Warclones with EVE Online’s spacefaring Capsuleers. The idea? Complete Vanguard assignments planetside to reveal juicy high-value convoys in EVE Online. Capsuleers then race to intercept them for loot, rewards, and bragging rights.

Rewards include SKINs, Trade Tokens, implants, and yes—even a shot at some PLEX. Not bad for a bit of inter-game teamwork.

CCP’s calling this the first step toward a fully interconnected EVE Universe, where what happens planetside doesn’t stay planetside.

The Big Picture

Legion’s updates and Operation Nemesis together mark a big push toward EVE’s long-touted “EVE Forever” vision. Space, ground, economy, war—every piece feeding into New Eden’s grand player-driven chaos.

So whether you’re in it for the fleet fights, the wormhole dives, or just chasing a convoy before someone else nabs it, New Eden just got a lot busier.
