Pixel art soulslike Chrono Sword is swinging into September with its first major Early Access update – and devs 21c Ducks are promising even more to come.
First Strike: September Update
Chrono Sword only hit Steam Early Access recently, but the team’s already polishing things up based on community feedback. Expect tweaks to accessibility, gameplay improvements, and some shiny new content to boot.
Developer 21c Ducks said they’ve been “hard at work to increase both the fun and finish of the game,” and it shows. They’ve even rejigged their original roadmap to better respond to what players want.
A New Rhythm: Updates Every Three Months
The plan? Fresh content and refinements every three months. That means new features, more advanced gameplay, and bigger slices of Adelnor’s gothic fantasy world. Basically, a constantly evolving soulslike that only gets sharper with time.
About Chrono Sword
Chrono Sword isn’t your standard gloomy 3D soulslike. Instead, it goes full pixel art, isometric-style, while still delivering the genre’s trademark brutal combat. You’ll be swapping between past, present, and future maps seamlessly, exploring a sprawling world where every hit lands heavy – but with faster, fiercer action than your usual soulslike fare.

The game’s already racked up praise at various game shows, and Early Access players are keen. With this new update cadence, it looks like Adelnor’s dark secrets will be unfolding steadily.
More update details are promised soon – until then, sharpen your blade and keep an eye out.
