Kuro Games has dropped the next big update for Wuthering Waves, and it’s packing enough content to make your backlog weep. Version 2.6, fancily titled By Sun’s Scourge By Moon’s Revelation, is here to bless us with two shiny new 5-star Resonators, a dramatic new hunting ground, fresh quests, a pile of events, and the usual avalanche of optimizations that may or may not fix the thing you’ve been yelling at your screen about.

Meet the Sun and Moon Dream Team

First up, let’s talk Resonators.

  • Augusta (Electro/Broadblade) – She’s basically the human embodiment of the sun, swinging a sword bigger than most people’s problems. Built to be a main DPS, Augusta comes with heavy attack damage and team-wide buffs that make her a nightmare for enemies and a blessing for anyone who pulls her.
  • Iuno (Aero/Gauntlets) – Representing the moon, Iuno’s the support-slash-healer you’ll want in your squad when things get messy. She boosts Concerto efficiency, heals, and amps up Resonance Liberation damage. Fate might try to sweep her away, but she’s not going anywhere except straight onto your wish list.

Both are tied to limited-time convenes, so yes, it’s time to start hoarding Astrite like a dragon.

Weapons Worth Drooling Over

New 5-star weapons are also on the menu:

  • Thunderflare Dominion (Broadblade) – A sun-forged slab of destruction.
  • Moongazer’s Sigil (Gauntlets) – Basically destiny in your fists.

There’s also the new 4-star Hunter’s Growl series, because your arsenal can always use more flair.

A Blood-Soaked Playground: Sanguis Plateaus

The update’s new area is the Sanguis Plateaus—a gorgeous yet grim battleground where Septimontians hunt, fight, and probably spill way too much blood. You’ll unlock it through the new main quest, By Sun’s Burning Hand, and let’s just say it won’t be a casual stroll through the highlands.

New Quests & Events to Keep You Busy

  • Main Quests:
    • By Sun’s Burning Hand (permanently available now).
    • By Moon’s Fated Light (arrives Sept 17).
  • Events:
    • Hunt of Ash and Steel – Area exploration with juicy rewards.
    • Sanguis Plateaus Travel Atlas – Exploration progress = loot.
    • Prints of Plateaus – Photo mode gets serious.

Plus, there’s a Tidal Defense Simulator event for those of you who love turning tower defense into a tactical brawl.

Quality-of-Life Stuff You’ll Actually Notice

Kuro Games has gone wild with optimizations this patch:

  • Flight now works in Jinzhou and the Black Shores (with some caveats).
  • Maps got better tracking for minerals, viewpoints, and critters.
  • Rewards can be claimed with one click, because finally.
  • DualSense adaptive triggers are now supported in certain events, so PS5 players can flex.
  • And yes—plenty of bug fixes and shiny new UI tweaks.

Log-In Goodies (Because Free Stuff Is the Best Stuff)

Jump in during the Gifts of the Moon Roamer event (Sept 17 – Oct 8) and you’ll snag Radiant Tide x10 and Forging Tide x10. Just make sure you’re Union Level 8 or higher.

Wuthering Waves 2.6 is live now across PC, mobile, and PS5. Whether you’re in it for the shiny new Resonators, the bloody beauty of Sanguis Plateaus, or just the joy of pressing one button to claim all your rewards, there’s plenty to sink your teeth into.

So… sun or moon? Either way, you’re probably broke on pulls by the end of this week.
