The supernatural open-world RPG blends urban life, racing, and strange anomalies in a city that never stops evolving
Neverness to Everness (NTE) is a new open-world RPG from Hotta Studio and Perfect World Games, set in the sprawling city of Hethereau. It’s a game where the everyday collides with the extraordinary, combining character-driven drama, paranormal investigation, and freeform sandbox gameplay. Whether you’re racing cars, customising your apartment, or dealing with supernatural events, NTE is all about choice and immersion.
Now, it’s getting ready for its next big step with a Closed Beta on PC running from July 3 to July 16.
What’s New in the Beta?
Revealed during a recent developer livestream, this version of the game adds a stack of new features and upgrades. One of the biggest additions is a vehicle requisition and wanted system. Players can now hijack cars across the city, but causing trouble triggers a multi-stage alert system that escalates based on your actions.
You can also take part in online street races, challenging friends or rival crews to prove who really owns the road.
Realistic Snow and Weather Effects
The city of Hethereau has also received a wintery makeover. The new dynamic snow system uses advanced rendering techniques to make snowfall look and feel real. Snowflakes appear translucent, light-reactive, and build up naturally across the environment, adding depth and atmosphere to every scene.
What Sets NTE Apart?
NTE stands out for its mix of genres and player freedom. You’ll control a cast of unique characters, each with their own personality and role in the story. Alongside its episodic narrative quests, the game includes side activities like car collecting, interior design, puzzle-solving, and even running your own business. Every choice feeds into the wider world, creating a layered and personalised experience.
