If you’ve been slicing through dragons in Dragonkin: The Banished, there’s plenty more reason to dive back in. The game’s first big update is here, expanding its Early Access build with a brand-new frosty region called Nurorgartt, tougher enemies, and loads of quality-of-life upgrades based on community feedback.
Set in a world twisted by dragonic corruption, Dragonkin: The Banished is a hack ‘n’ slash that challenges players to craft powerful builds using its unique Ancestral Grid system. Now, with the new update, you’ll need all the theorycrafting skills you can muster to take on Nurorgartt’s icy challenges, and the terrifying Dragon Lord that rules them.
What’s new in the Update?
- Nurorgart: A freezing new region packed with fresh monsters and a new Dragon Lord Boss.
- The Test of Will: A new endgame mode where you survive endless waves in a mental dimension. The longer you last, the better the loot, but fail, and it’s all gone.
- Montescail Hub Upgrade: New NPC artisans like The Enchanter and The Artificer join the city, offering more tools for theorycrafting.
- Arsenal Feature: Save and load full builds instantly, including gear, passives, and skills.
The update also brings tighter combat, more enemies per fight, improved loot rates, better camera controls, and plenty of small tweaks to make slaying dragons feel even better.
Still in Early Access on Steam, Dragonkin: The Banished is shaping up to be a deep and brutal RPG for fans who love custom builds, massive boss fights, and a good grind. Console versions are still in the words for full release.
