Tiny Trax delivers a unique and innovative slot car drift racing experience for PlayStation VR described as ‘Micro Machines meets Scalextric’ – with an emphasis on player comfort.
The game, from award-winning Brighton-based studio FuturLab (Velocity 2X), immerses players in stunning virtual worlds surrounded by a variety of epic toy racing tracks, allowing them to control tiny cars from a child’s perspective, and watch them boost around their body, jump overhead and drift around bends.
A drifting/boost-recharge mechanic means Tiny Trax is easy to pick up, but challenging to master. Importantly, the player remains static in the virtual world, while they control the action going on around them, resulting in extremely comfortable and satisfying gameplay.
The game also boasts online multiplayer functionality for up to four players, with 12 tracks across three environments – Tropical, Fire & Ice and Outer Space – and six vehicles to choose from.
The music has been composed by leading video game composer Joris de Man, whose previous work includes Horizon: Zero Dawn, Killzone and FuturLab’s own Velocity 2X.
Tiny Trax received a hugely positive reception when it featured as part of PlayStation’s presence at E3 in June, encompassing the official press event, a demo pod on the PlayStation booth and the platform holder’s first ever VR livestream.

Tiny Trax will be release simultaneously for PlayStation VR in Europe and the US on July 25th 2017, priced at £12.99/€14.99/$19.99.

Debuts from the Six – DeMar DeRozan Reps the North with First-Ever NBA 2K Canadian Cover
2K today revealed its first Canadian cover for NBA 2K18, the next iteration of the top-rated and top-selling NBA video game simulation series of the past 16 years* available on September 19, 2017, featuring the Toronto Raptors’ shooting guard DeMar DeRozan. The selection of DeRozan also marks his first NBA 2K cover honor, coming off of a dominant season with the Raptors where he led the team to the NBA Playoffs for the fourth consecutive year.
2K today revealed its first Canadian cover for NBA 2K18, the next iteration of the top-rated and top-selling NBA video game simulation series of the past 16 years available on September 19, 2017, featuring the Toronto Raptors’ shooting guard DeMar DeRozan.
“It’s a huge honor to be recognized on the first-ever Canadian cover for NBA 2K and represent the Raptors after eight years with the team,” said DeMar DeRozan, who finished the ’16-’17 season with a career-high 2,020 points. “The fans up here are super passionate about basketball, so it’s cool to help introduce a cover that’s just for them.”
Since being drafted to the Toronto Raptors in 2009, DeMar has been a crucial player for the team, giving repeat power performances and becoming Toronto’s career scoring leader with 11,456 points by the end of the previous NBAseason. His other accolades include being named an NBA All-Star three times and playing in both the 2014 World Cup and the 2016 Summer Olympics.

Raze: Dungeon Arena’s Dark Fantasy World Revealed In First Gameplay Trailer
Mobile games company WONDER has revealed a new Raze: Dungeon Arena video trailer that provides the first look at live gameplay from the dark fantasy-style ARPG, coming to iOS and Android devices in August 2017.
Featuring advanced Unity 3D graphics and a diverse selection of single player, multiplayer, and guild gameplay modes, Raze: Dungeon Arena challenges players to explore and battle their way through elaborate dungeons and delivers a classic hack-n-slash experience right on their phones.
Heroic Decisions
The gameplay trailer introduces three characters available at the beginning of Raze: Dungeon Arena: The Frost Priestess: Alina Stewart, The Death Ranger: Vilsack, and The Rhino Warrior: Hoaston. Players choose one of the three heroes as they embark on their dungeon-crawling quests, then collect and develop additional heroes during the adventure to increase their combat power and strategic options.
- The Frost Priestess – Alina Stewart is an expert at controlling the flow of the battle with ice magic; she formed the Crusaders – a group tasked with vanquishing the Undead. Her attacks like Biting Cold, which creates a cold freezing blast, and Hailstorm, which summons hail over enemies, are effective and deliver damage over a wide area.
- The Death Ranger – Vilsack is a master marksman who kills his enemies from afar, Vilsack has no memory of his life as a mortal Elf and only remembers his own name. The Death Ranger is an ideal character for those who like to pick off enemies from a distance, with attacks like Scattershot that fire five arrows in rapid succession and Split Image, which summons a Vilsack shadow to double the offensive impact.
- The Rhino Warrior – Hoatson lived in peace with his family on a farm near the City of Being, but his happy life was torn apart by the Undead. He decided to join Alina’s Crusaders when he heard of the group’s formation. With attacks like the triple ground-smashing Trembling Earth and pillar-twirling Whirlwind, the melee-style character is ideal for people who enjoy smashing enemies into oblivion.
