British Columbia based game developer, Codename Entertainment, announced the hiring of Wizards of the Coast and Dungeons and Dragons designer/producer, Chris Dupuis. The company hired Dupuis to help oversee production and development of its two officially licensed DnD games, Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms and Crusaders of the Lost Idols.

“It is an honour to join Codename, and I am excited to be a part of the dynamic video game sector in (British Columbia),” Dupuis said at the announcement. “This talented team loves games in all forms, which suits me perfectly. I’m looking forward to diving into our current live service games and helping to grow Codename Entertainment’s impressive portfolio in the future.”

Dupuis’ has helped form many tabletop experiences, including Betrayer at Baldur’s Gate, Heroscape, Risk LegacyLords of the Waterdeep: Scoundrels of Skullport, and The Temple of Elemental Evil to name a few.

“Hiring Chris and adding to the existing talent at the studio has been an enormous achievement,” said Eric Jordan, Codename Entertainment’s CEO. “Chris has an impressive resume of world-class games under this belt.”

Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms and Crusaders of the Lost Idols are both free-to-play clicker-style games, available now on Steam (and later this year, mobile): They challenge players to form a team of heroes, equip them, and create strategic formations to effectively take on a variety of quests and deadly DnD monsters.
