No this isn’t a fever dream brought on by lock down delirium…KFC Gaming have today announced the official launch of the KFConsole in partnership with Cooler Master.

The Bargain Bucket-shaped machine features the world’s first built in chicken chamber, which is kitted out to keep its contents hot, ready for consumption during intense gaming sessions.

The console is fitted with a unique, custom built internal cooling system to extract system heat through around the outside of the chicken chamber, ensuring that the hardware is kept at a regular core temperature while simultaneously delivering a piping-hot meal.

The KFConsole campaign began on 11 June, when it went viral just hours after posting on the KFC Gaming Twitter channel, gaining 11 million organic impressions globally on the company’s Twitter page. Since then, KFC Gaming has won numerous awards for its initial teaser campaign, which earned global recognition across the gaming and wider mainstream communities.

‘Moving forward from our initial teaser campaign earlier this year, we’re so pleased to finally give the fans exactly what they wanted; making the KFConsole a reality’ said Mark Cheevers, PR & Social Media Lead at KFC UK & Ireland. ‘We all know the console war is vicious, but we’re very confident in the KFConsole as our flagship entry. This machine is capable of running games at top-level specs, all on top of keeping your meal warm for you to enjoy during your gaming experience… what’s not to like? If Sony or Microsoft want any tips on how to engineer a chicken chamber for their efforts next time, they’d be welcome to get in touch.’

The KFConsole is now a reality, thanks to a key partnership with a global hardware manufacturer. After recently teaming up with Cooler Master to develop the console, there were multiple stages of the development process which included custom built casing, creating the unique cooling system and integrating the signature chicken chamber.

‘When we were approached by KFC Gaming to make the KFConsole, we jumped at the chance to get involved and enter the console war’ said Stephen James, Global PR & Influencer Manager at Cooler Master. ‘The KFConsole has been custom built with the gamer at the front of mind. The last thing we want is anyone to go hungry while playing!’
