Little Town Hero (Formely TOWN) from GameFreak explores it’s hamlet with a new gameplay trailer; releasing October 16th 2019. Prepurchase available today.

Trapped by their own will inside the confines of a single town, you, the player, must defend your home from oncoming threats using the power of ‘ideas’; combat maneuvers and tactics that can be combined into unique attacks in this complex (and somewhat confusing) JRPG adventure from the studio that brought so many of us joy with Pokemon.

It also features a gorgeous soundtrack composed mainly by the legendary indie developer Toby Fox, developer of UNDERTALE and DELTARUNE! Time to make some more room in my ‘Gaming OST’ playlist…

Pokemon Sword and Shield showcases 2 new Pokemon, character customisation, camping and… Uh… LOTS of curry.

Not a huge amount of information was given regarding Pokemon Sword and Shield’s upcoming features in today’s Direct; we got a new look at character customisation, with changeable shirts, trousers / skirs, jackets, backpacks, hats, eye, hair, skin and makeup colour.

We also got to see a new feature, camping, where you set up a Secret Base-like campsite to interact with your Pokemon, feed them, play with them, and see them coexist – Additional to this, we got a look at a lot of curry… As in, over 100 types. Yeah…

Other than that, we only got to see two new Pokemon in total; Polteageist, a Ghost-type Pokemon that inhibits the form of a cracked teapot – It has the unique ability ‘Weak Armor’, although we got no indication as to what ‘Weak Armor’ does.

The other new Pokemon showcased was Cramorant, a gull-like Flying-Water type Pokemon – It features the unique ability ‘Gull Missile’, where after using specific Water-type moves such as Surf, Cramorant will surface with a fish lodged in it’s mouth – Being hit in this state enables Cramorant to get a free hit off on it’s opponent with a supposedly untyped attack, by firing the fish at it’s opponent much like a missile.
